| Hiking Week Maasberg, the hiking paradise |
Since many years now, our hiking weeks have been highly popular. Hiking in our beautiful nature you meet nice people, make new friends and positively contribute to your health and well being. We invite you to explore on shanks’ mare the lovely 3 baths’ valley of Nahe river, the castles, the vinyards, the deep forests of the Soonwald full of game, formerly the hunting grounds of the “Hunter from Kurpfalz” (electoral palatinate). Follow the tracks of Shinderhannes, discover his hideouts and secret nooks.
Maasberg hiking weeks can be easily combined with our spa programme, appointments for treatments will be scheduled accordingly. From the spa hotel you leave in all directions – once at your destination you will stop at an inn, to return by the hotel’s own bus. Because of our steadily increasing regular guests we continuously add new hiking routes as to guarantee for diversity. You will always have a lot of fun e.g. on Germany’s one and only bare foot path which is presently much talked about. You will be highly impressed walking over grass, sand, stone, gravel, mud, wood, pieces of bark and through the waters of Nahe river to reach the source pavillion and to taste the Felke source.
A hiking day starts with early morning gymnastics to become fit. And/or you take a refreshing bath in the indoor pool before you enjoy the breakfast buffet. In the morning there is the opportunity to have cure treatments, to do fitness training, swimming, to play tennis, to have cosmetic treatments or to do nothing but relax. The tour starts in the afternoon. After 2 to 3 hours’ hiking you are expected at an inn, then you return by our own hotel bus. If we hike the whole day, we set out at 10 h a.m., enjoy lunch from the back pack, at a fire or from the forest buffet. Destination of the last hiking event on saturdays is a wine-growing village on the Nahe river where we call on a vinyard and have a representative wine tasting. After our return and dinner we meet at our cosy wine bar Remise for an enjoyable good-bye evening with candle light where the hiking certificates are given to everybody.

All guests booked on one of our other packages may participate the hiking week without additional charge.
Our package includes:
- 7 overnight stay
- full board (or fasting)
- Participation in the above mentioned hiking programme;
- 1 wine tasting
- each working day: body fit training or aqua-jogging
- use of our pool landscape and sauna world
